In today's world, everything must be faster, cleaner, and easier. As boaters, when retrieving our anchors we need to wrestle with material from the bottom of the waters we float on. Thanks to the Anchor Claw, we now have a faster, cleaner, and easier way to help us deal with this.
We have bow pulpits to assist in setting our anchors. To help with this process many have an anchor windlass, some are controlled by switches on the bow of the boat, making anchoring a fairly simple procedure; fast, clean, and easy. When we retrieve our anchors, all we need to do is reverse the procedure. It sounds as if it would be just as fast, clean, and easy, but we suddenly realize the "demons of the depths" have left us with a gift. It seems that most places you anchor, these demons feel the need to leaveus this gift. The gift usually consists of bottom vegetation and mud. Occasionally, there will be shells, stones, and silt mixed in with who knows what else. In this great world of boating, it has been called many different things. It is most commonly referred to as "muck". New to the market, the Anchor Claw is used to remove bottom muck from your anchor.
You no longer need to leave the helm for any lengthy period of time, send your first mate, or better yet the "Admiral" to the bow to lift the anchor rode for dunking the anchor numerous times to rid it of this material. We all know that these clumps can get quite big and heavy. If the clumps of muck are too heavy to lift, it is then necessary to lay down on the bow of the boat and reach over to pull this muck off the anchor using your hands. This is quite messy, and it can be very dangerous. If someone does not go overboard during this process, they must reenter the cockpit area with very dirty hands and the topside will surely need to be washed down.
It does not matter what type of boat you own. Whether it is a yacht, trawler, cruiser, speedboat, runabout, or sailboat, big or small, with any type of anchor be it a plow anchor, fluke anchor, etc., the Anchor Claw is an essential tool for all boaters.
The Anchor Claw was designed for boaters by a boater. With just a twist of the handle, it extents from 27" to 39-1/2" in length for extremely easy reach. The handle is made of lightweight aluminum with a rubber grip. The tines are aggressive, and made of stainless steel. There is no metal to rust. It comes with a specially designed head cover to protect your boat from the tines when stored.
Every boater has dealt with an anchor full of bottom muck. The Anchor Claw makes ridding your anchor of this faster, cleaner, and easier. In no time at all you are underway, without a mess. There is no doubt that the Anchor Claw is one of the most important boating accessories you will own.
